Opened in 1972, this theatre has a rich history of hosting some of Broadway's most celebrated productions, including the legendary musical "Wicked." With a seating capacity of over 1,900, it is the largest theatre on Broadway, making it a prime destination for theatre enthusiasts.

The Gershwin Theatre is known for its annual schedule packed with high-profile shows and events. Tickets for popular performances can range from $50 to over $200, depending on the seating section and demand. The venue also offers various ticketing options, including rush tickets and lotteries for those looking to experience Broadway on a budget. Positive reviews highlight the theatre's excellent acoustics and sightlines, ensuring that every seat provides an enjoyable experience.

Seating Information

The seating arrangement at the Gershwin Theatre is designed to provide an immersive experience for all attendees. The theatre features three main sections: Orchestra, Mezzanine, and Balcony. The best seats are generally considered to be in the Orchestra section, particularly rows A through J, which offer an unobstructed view of the stage. These seats allow patrons to fully engage with the performance and enjoy the intricate details of the production.

Conversely, the Balcony section may not be ideal for everyone due to its distance from the stage. While it offers a unique perspective, some patrons find that the view can be less satisfying compared to lower sections. However, it remains a more affordable option for those looking to enjoy a Broadway show without breaking the bank.

Parking Information

Parking around the Gershwin Theatre can be challenging due to its central location in New York City. However, there are several parking options available nearby. One of the best choices is the Icon Parking facility located at 250 W 54th St, which offers competitive rates starting at approximately $30 for up to 12 hours. This facility is just a short walk from the theatre, making it convenient for attendees.
